Data Deletion

Last updated: July 22, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data associated with MakerHQ, including account data, AI chats and memories, workspace records, MakerCRM records, Laser Settings activity, uploads, and other MakerHQ tools and services.

1. Who can request deletion

  • Account holders: anyone who created a MakerHQ account or is a member of an organization that uses MakerHQ.
  • Leads: individuals whose contact information was imported into MakerCRM by an Operator and who wish to have their information removed.
  • End customers: individuals who placed an order or otherwise transacted through a Portal operated by an Operator using MakerCRM.
  • Anyone else whose personal data we may hold and who has deletion rights under applicable privacy law.

2. How to submit a request

If you can sign in, the fastest way to submit an account-deletion request is to open Account. This authenticated flow creates a durable request and signs you out; it does not instantly erase every record.

Send an email to contact@makerhq.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Include the following so we can verify and locate your data:

  • Your full name.
  • The email address(es) associated with your data (account email, the address contacted by an Operator, or the address used to place an order).
  • Which product(s) the request relates to: MakerHQ, MakerCRM, Laser Settings, or all of them.
  • If you are a lead or end customer, the name of the Operator (the business) that contacted you or whose portal you ordered through, if known. This helps us locate the right workspace.
  • Any other context that will help us identify the relevant records (e.g., approximate dates, order numbers).

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant data. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law allows it, but we may request proof of authority and may verify the request directly with you.

3. What happens after a request

After verification and review, we will delete, de-identify, or restrict the personal data covered by a valid request, subject to records we are permitted or required to retain to:

  • complete a transaction for which the data was collected, provide a service requested by you, or perform a contract between us and you;
  • detect security incidents, protect against malicious or fraudulent activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activity;
  • comply with a legal obligation, including tax, accounting, and audit requirements;
  • resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or defend legal claims; or
  • maintain anonymized or aggregated information that does not identify you.

For accountholders, a request concerns the requesting person’s account across MakerHQ workspaces; it does not automatically delete a workspace or content controlled by other workspace members. Shared business records may remain with the workspace after personal identifiers are removed or access is revoked. We recommend exporting data you need before submitting a request. Where MakerHQ processes data on behalf of an Operator, we may coordinate with that Operator. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups until they age out under the applicable backup lifecycle.

4. Other privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to access, correct, or port personal data, opt out of certain uses, appeal a denial, or complain to a regulator or supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us using the method above. The full list of rights and the legal bases on which we process personal data is set out in the MakerHQ Privacy Policy.

5. Timing

We verify and respond to requests within the time required by applicable law. Our operational target is to complete ordinary verified requests within thirty (30) days. Complex requests may take longer where the law allows, and we will notify you when an extension is necessary. We will explain any denial or permitted retention and provide appeal information where applicable.
